We will start the tour to this community located approximately 2,100 meters above sea level, which preserves a pleasant provincial appearance, with cobbled streets and houses with adobe walls and tile roof, maintaining the features of the traditional architecture of the region, in an environment of tranquility and beauty. Route 01 We will go to the Valencian route that begins with a walk through pine and oak forests, until we reach a huge rock where there is a cave called Cueva de Borregos. The path ascends approximately half a kilometer to a beautiful rocky area known as "La Valenciana", on which various natural viewpoints are located, from which a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape can be appreciated.

The next point is "El Pósito", a small wave from which crystal clear waters flow and which offers a beautiful panoramic view of Lachatao and some neighboring communities. The return is on "La Valenciana", then taking a path that descends to the community, where you can enjoy a typical meal.

Route 02. We begin the walk towards the west, over stretches of narrow paths and wide gaps, in the middle of pine and oak forests laden with moss. On this route is the Del Arco river, named for the old quarry bridge, in the shape of an arch, that crosses it. After crossing this bridge, and following the path, you reach the area of ​​the mines, two of which are still exploited, obtaining mainly gold and silver, the "La escopeta" and "El águila" mines, which no longer work today, can be visited.

During both tours on the way, it is possible to observe species of fauna such as rabbits, squirrels and badgers, and birds such as pigeons, eagles and crows (known in the region as "cacalotes"). If you are lucky, you will be able to observe a small tiger or whitetail deer. After the tours we will return to the city of Oaxaca arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m. In the community we can have activities such as:
