The hotel is located in the center of Naples. From it's rooms, from it's terrace, from it's garden, from it's swimming pool, the panorama is one of the most beautiful in the gulf.
The hotel was converted from the Santa Lucia al Monte convent that was founded in 1557 by the Minori Conventuali Monks. The restoration has retained the charm and the atmosphere of the structure while blending it with the elegance and comfort fit for the best hotels.

The fifty rooms, for their optimum exposition, are kissed by the sun and flooded with the bright colors of the city, offering all a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples. The rooms, furnished with accuracy and elegance, were restructured with attention to details from the antique cells, which preserves, aside from the atmosphere, the same architectural structure, even though they are equipped with the most modern of comforts.
The Hotel has two restaurants: "I Barbanti" that proposes a gourmet cuisine with mediterranean flavors and dishes typical of the Napolitan tradition, and "La Terrazza" open during the Summer months, with a spectacular view of the gulf of Naples.
Three Conference rooms completely furnished for every type of event, and a swimming pool on the seventh floor of the hotel, complete the facilities of the hotel.

The Hotel San Francesco Al Monte is located in one of the most panoramic areas of Naples, within walking distance of the historic center. It is well connected to the whole city via funicular and it is only 10 kilometers from the Capodichino Airport. Many of the city's major attractions are within two kilometers of the hotel, and the harbor is within walking distance.

By plane:
The airport of Capodichino is about 10 Km away, approximately 20 minutes by taxi. Upon request, shuttles to and from the hotel are also available.
By train:
The train station of Mergellina is about 4 Km away. The train station Piazza Garibaldi around 7 KM. The Central 'Funicolare' station 'Corso Vittorio Emanuele' is approx. 300 meters. The Montesanto 'Funicolare' Station 'Corso Vittorio Emanuele' is approx. 400 meters from the hotel.
By car:
From the North, take highway A1; from Salerno, Taranto and Foggia - highway A16; from Reggio Calabria - highway A3. The highway leads to the tollway 'Tangenziale.' Exit at Arenella and continue towards Piazza Mazzini and Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Swimming Pool: On the seventh floor of the hotel, on it's wide and sunny terraces, it is possible to relax immersing in the waters of the swimming pool, or savoring a snack served in one of the cozy garden table settings, gazing at the enchantment of the gulf of Naples.
Meeting Rooms: The two conference rooms preserve the charm of the antique ambient from which it was restored intact; they are completely furnished for every type of event, and may host up to 200 persons.
Restaurant 'I Barbanti': The restaurant 'I Barbanti,' situated in a wing of the 5th century convent, proposes a gourmet cuisine with mediterranean flavors and dishes typical of the Napolitan tradition.
Open from the 1st of October until the 30th of April.
Restaurant 'La Terrazza': The restaurant 'La Terrazza' offers a spectacular view of the gulf of Naples. Open during the Summer months from the 1st of May until the 30th of September.
