Its ideal position in the historical centre of Bologna, in an area where the access of private traffic is always allowed (NO ZTL AREA), easily reachable coming from all main directions, and the presence in the very nearby of the bus stops reaching all areas of town, allow our Guests to reach in a just few minutes the most interesting areas of downtown Bologna such as the University, the main monuments and museums, as well as the Exhibition Centre and Airport.
The warmth of a family-run place along with the cordiality of the staff do create an atmosphere of old times, being the characteristic feature of our Hotel.

BY TRAIN:
our Hotel is about 300 metres from the central railway station
Road instructions from the railway station to the Hotel:
- ON FOOT: 5 minute walk. From right side of the railway station, take the first left (Via Amendola); after two blocks take a right (Via Milazzo), then go straight until you see the Astoria Hotel.
- BY TAXI: 5 minutes. The fare is about € 5-6.
BY PLANE:
our Hotel is about 6 km from the Guglielmo Marconi International Airport of Bologna
Road instructions from the Airport to the Hotel:
-BY BUS: 30 minute ride. The "BLQ" shuttle bus takes you directly from the Airport to the railway station. Tickets are sold on the bus (about € 4,5 per person). The bus stop nearest to the Astoria is “Stazione centrale” (central railway station).
- BY TAXI: 20 minute ride. The fare is about € 13-15.
BY CAR:
A1 or A14 Motorway, direction “Bologna centro”. After the toll, follow the "tangenziale", outer ring roads, and take exit nr. 7 “Fiera” or nr. 5 “Lame”; then follow the signs to the Train Station ("Stazione centrale") or City Centre ("Centro"). Our hotel is about 4 km far from both exits.
The Hotel is located in the historical centre of Bologna, in an area where the access of private traffic is allowed (no ZTL area).

The Hotel Astoria Bologna is situated in a quiet historical building in the city centre, just a short walk from the railway station and only a few minutes from all the important points of interest (the airport, the trade fair and the university). The monumental buildings of the centre, situated just a few steps from the Astoria Hotel, have hidden inside small precious courtyards with mirable pensils, stautes, and ornaments, whose beauty is one of the most required destination of yesterday's and today's tourists.
Moreover, there are several opportunities for a special evening in the city as well as for attending a short time of those special nights that people coming to bologna only for work or business do often have no time for: the central streets, the alleys and the most internal lanes, have got a wide range of locals, from the tipical "trattoria" (with the famous hand made pasta of Bologna) to the "osteria", some of them also having live musc until later in the night, together with pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, in order to meet in the best way with requirements of all our Guests.
